Trojan Pop Warner Cheer
Trojans Pop Warner Cheer is dedicated to the development of sideline cheerleading skills for girls grades K- 6th. We provide instruction in sideline cheerleading, dance routines, and tumbling in a FUN and SAFE environment. We strive to prepare youth cheerleaders for Middle School and High School cheer squads.
Proof of satisfactory progress in school is required. A 70% and/or 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) or the equivalent shall be the minimum grade point average acceptable to participate.

Fall Cheer Season
The season officially starts at the beginning of August with a cheer camp and continues through the end of Oct, with the possibility of playoffs into mid-November. All games are played in and around the Austin area with Anderson HS being our “home field.”
Cheer Squads (Age Groups)
Squads are formed based on skill level and Fall 2025 grade level in the following divisions*:
Tiny-Mite: Kinder & 1st grade
Mitey-Mite: 2nd & 3rd grade
JPW (Juniors): 3rd & 4th grade
Pee Wee (Seniors): 5th & 6th grade
*Cheerleaders may be able to cheer for ONE (1) level higher or lower if they have a sibling playing football for that corresponding team AND they are skilled in the level of that particular squad. This is at the discretion of the Cheer Coordinator and coaches, and depends on squad size.
Practices
Cheering for Trojans Pop Warner is a commitment of at least 10 hours of pre-season conditioning (camp and practices), as well as continued weekly practices. Pre-season (Aug 20th– Aug 29th, 2025) will consist of 2 practices per week for ALL squads.

Game Days
The 2025 season begins with our FIRST GAME on Saturday August 30th , 2025. NOTE: Our first game is over Labor Day weekend.
All football games are played on Saturdays. Our teams may play at any of the Hill Country Pop Warner game locations. Parents are responsible for providing transportation to all games for their cheerleader. Coaches will set up a squad communication system in SportsYOU to help with drink/snack coordination, parent-carpooling and last-minute practice/game updates. Game day commitment is approximately 1 hour for Tiny Mites and up to 2.5 hours for all other squads.
**We ask that you commit to having your child at all games during the season except in the case of emergencies and sickness. Cheerleading is a team sport, and the girls work VERY hard on the dances and stunting patterns that rely on each squad member to play their part. Unlike other team sports, we don’t have “back-up players” to fill-in for stunts or dance formations if someone is missing. Thank you for your consideration and commitment.

Our volunteer coaches are all YCADA certified. If you, or someone you know is interested in learning more about coaching, please reach out to the cheer director. We are always looking for volunteer coaches and assistant coaches to help make the cheer season amazing for our athletes!
